Celebrating All Ancestors: Egungun Ancestral Drum and Dance, Yoruba Ceremony

African Ceremonies with High Chief Egbayelo of Osooro Land, Oloja of Bajowa Village, The Rebuja Dynasty 

August 1 and 2, 2026  | Soul of the Mother, Six Nations Grand River Territory, Canada 

In partnership with Aina-Nia Ayodele of Aina-Nia Learning Journeys, Toronto, and her spiritual community, the Institute for the Study of Spirit and Soul of the Mother held two spirit-filled days of community sharing of ceremony calling on Ancestors for guidance and healing for self and humanity. 

Led by our beloved teacher and brother, HRH Prince Bamidele Bajowa 
High Chief Egbayelo of Osooro Land, Oloja of Bajowa Village, the deeply spiritual Egungun Ceremony brought cleansing rituals, sacred guidance and celebration of connection to the most ancient ways still practiced by the Ijiobounre Clan Lubokun ruling House of the Rebuja Dynasty of Osooro Kingdom in Nigeria. The Elders of the Clan have permitted this trip to Canada.   

We look to a larger venue to celebrate with more people in 2027.
